Lamborghini Urus

The Lamborghini Urus marks the brand’s return to the SUV market, following the LM002 from the 1980s. This luxury SUV features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 478 kW and 845 Nm of torque, enabling it to reach 100 kph in just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 305 kph. With an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, it combines practicality with extreme performance, positioning itself as one of the fastest SUVs available.

Comparing the concept Urus to the production model, several design adjustments have been made. The production version includes functional vents for cooling and aerodynamics, more pronounced Y-shaped rear lights, and additional details like larger side mirrors and door handles. The interior has also evolved, replacing the concept’s skeletal carbon fiber design with premium materials such as Alcantara, leather, aluminum, and wood. It features two touchscreen displays—one for in-car controls and the other for navigation.

Lamborghini has expanded its production facilities in response to high demand, with a current wait time of around 12 months. The company reassures enthusiasts that the Urus will not dilute the brand but will support future supercar development. While electrification is not yet a priority, discussions are underway for a new model lineup, potentially including a four-seater GT between 2020 and 2025.
